There’s something so emotional about maternity sessions.
The anticipation, the excitement, the unknown — all wrapped into one season of life that feels both beautiful and chaotic at the same time.
I genuinely feel so excited for my couples during this chapter. There’s something incredibly special about documenting the quiet moments before everything changes. The slow moments before sleepless nights, tiny kicks becoming tiny hands, and the waiting turning into finally meeting your baby.
Maternity sessions aren’t just about documenting a growing bump — they’re about preserving this season for what it truly is.
The beginning of a whole new chapter.
And honestly, it’s a season of life I personally love so much — especially documenting couples throughout the Bitterroot Valley during this beautiful chapter.
This Bitterroot Valley maternity session felt peaceful in the best way.
The day I had this session, life honestly felt a little… well, like life. Winter always feels slower for me creatively, and I hadn’t really gotten to pick up my camera in a way that filled me back up in a while. I was craving creative light, open space, and one of those laid back sessions with humans who were simply ready to embrace the moment and have fun together.
And this session ended up being exactly that.
Golden light, mountain views, dirt roads, their sweet pup running alongside them, and the kind of slow moments that remind you how meaningful the simple things really are.
Nothing overly posed.
Nothing forced.
Just the sweetest humans where everything naturally fell into place — conversation, laughing, wandering around with no real rush, and simply chasing the light without a care in the world.
Those are always the moments that end up mattering most.
I left this session feeling like I could finally breathe again — reminded of why I love what I do so much. Windows rolled down, heat cranked all the way up, and 90’s country playing the entire drive home 🤍
At the end of the day, maternity photos aren’t about perfection — they’re about remembering how this season felt before everything changes.
And I truly could not be more excited for these two as they step into this next chapter of parenthood.

Seasons like this deserve to be remembered — not just for how they looked, but for how they felt 🤍
